Twilight Farms is located in the beautiful state of Ohio about 85 miles northeast of Columbus. We are dedicated to raising top quality Australian Shepherds and Aussiedoodles with phenomenal temperaments & dispositions. We strive to produce healthy, long-living family companions. Our dogs are our life and we treat each as a member of our family and are all indoor dogs.
Here at Twilight Farms, our puppies are raised in our home and socialized since birth. We follow puppy culture protocols and believe that the perfect family dog starts with work done by the breeder early on in life. We start litter box and crate training our puppies as soon as they become mobile to make outdoor potty training a breeze. Once the puppies eyes and ears open we expose them to all sorts of sights and sounds that we see and hear every day to ensure your puppy is confident in any given situation. We work diligently in providing each puppy we bring into this world with the fundamental basics for the best possible start in life.
We are a very small operation. We only have a few breeding dogs and each one lives in our house and is a part of our family. Our breeding dogs are never in kennels. They sleep in our bedroom on their own beds and spend their days roaming the property with a wide variety of farm animals.
Our goal is to produce healthy, low-shedding (doodles), even tempered dogs for companionship, service, and therapy. We take extra steps to ensure our puppies go to loving families and are well adjusted to a home environment.
We are dedicated to our puppies long after they have left our care. As breeders we will always be there for our new puppy parents to answer any and all questions they may have for a lifetime of breeder support.
Our main focus is the first-and second-generation Doodles and quality, healthy Australian Shepherds. Each dog we bring into our program goes through a series of genetic and temperament tests to ensure healthy, well rounded litters. After selecting parents of excellent quality, we can focus on producing stunning and vibrant colors in our puppies. We only pair dogs together that complement each other in every way based on their health testing results and hip ratings, genotype and coloring, structure and of course most important of all, their personalities.
Our puppies are raised in our home! We make nurseries and whelping areas in our master bedroom so we can keep a close eye on the puppies their first few days of life then they are moved to the family room. Once old enough to go outside for some play time they get to go in a playpen on shredded paper and play for a few hours increasing in time every day. When big enough they get to spend their entire day outside in large 24'X24' area with cameras so we can always keep a eye on them. The puppies are then allowed to play with the bigger dogs while we do our chores with the horses and can keep an eye on them. They get extremely well socialized with other dogs of all sizes, horses and even a pig! After their long fun day outside playing they come back in for dinner and bedtime. Our puppies go to bed when the sun goes down and get to go outside once the morning dew burns off and it is warm enough for them to be out in the sunshine. All of our puppies have begun potty training. We will start the process of crate training all puppies at night once they are old enough in hopes to create a stress-free transition from our home.
